Surakarta, May 27, 2023 – Semarak Budaya Indonesia is a dance performance that features many dance performances from various types of dance in the archipelago, and this year Semarak Budaya Indonesia is the tenth time this dance festival is held with the theme “Satu Dasawarsa Gerak Bersama”. The festival organized by Pemuda Indonesia Kreatif and Semarak Candrakirana Art Center also received direct support from the Surakarta City Government, the Provincial Office of Education and Culture, and the Djarum Foundation. Also added with the help of volunteers who came from a combination of students from various campuses around Solo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This event is conducted by the Surakarta City Government in order to preserve culture and present entertainment and education about culture with attractive packaging so that people can enjoy and know the various dance cultures in Indonesia. Moreover, this year as well as commemorating the 10th year or a decade of Solo as the center of Semarak Budaya Indonesia, it is also a place to promote Solo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The festival, which was held on Friday and Saturday (26-27\/5\/2023) in the courtyard of Solo City Hall, featured dances not only in the Solo area (Central Java) but also dances from various regions in the archipelago. On the second day of the event the dances performed included those from Java, Bali, Palangkaraya, Riau, and Lampung. The dances were from Sanggar Hangsun Gandrung (Solo), Sanggar Pradnya Swari (Jembrana), Loka Budaya Bimala Chahna (Malang), Sanggar Seni Balang a Tingang (Palangkaraya) and Perempuan Xpresif (Bangkalan).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is what makes the attraction quite influential because of the many varied dances and the public can know the specialty of each dance performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The committee also recognizes that the variety of dance performances presented is what attracts people’s attention. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Because this event is titled Indonesian culture right and many of Indonesia’s cultures can be displayed, this event carries the culture of the archipelago, it should all be there and displayed, so that we do not only know one dance but more,” said Anindya, Evita, Ida as the organizers of this event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Although two years earlier this event was canceled due to the Covid-19 virus pandemic that hit Indonesia. This event has been carefully prepared and planned, because it was scheduled long beforehand so that the event runs smoothly without any significant obstacles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Anindya, Evita, and Ida as the organizers of the event, “Preparations have been from a long time ago, the search for sponsors has started from February,” they said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Until now there have been no obstacles in preparation and implementation, quite smoothly,” they added when interviewed by the LPM Campus coverage crew.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With the smooth implementation of this event, this event left a significant impression on visitors who came, they said that their experience watching the show at Semarak Budaya Indonesia 2023 was an extraordinary memorable experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The event is good, we are young generation who are familiar with foreign dances, while the event displayed cultural dances, which are good to add insight, especially for free. Overall we are happy,” said Tia and Mrs. Nia as visitors to this event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mr. Frans, who was also one of the visitors who came to this event said, “This event is very good, and the dancers are expressive, the performance is very agile, the creators are very creative in conceptualizing the event and very attractive to pedestrians and young people who are spending the night in Solo,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Dance Festival, Semarak Budaya Indonesia has become an event that has positive value. Not only in providing an event that spoils the eyes, but also conveys insight into the culture of the archipelago which is packaged nicely and interestingly, and both for the event organizers and visitors who witnessed this event they gave good hopes for this event in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Anindya, Evita and Ida as the organizers of the event, they have hopes for this event in the future, “Hopefully the event that will be held in the coming years can be even more lively, and the duration of implementation is extended so that more archipelago dances can be performed. Because the Indonesian nation is very pluralistic which has a variety of cultures and arts, so that in the future our culture can be recognized by the wider community through events like this,” they said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mr. Frans, as a visitor to this event also hopes that this event will be continued by young people, “The vibrancy of Indonesian culture must be maintained, especially from young people, because if not young people who else? And also this cultural dance must be maintained and developed. And can be further enlivened through young people,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The dance festival was then closed with a performance of “Zapin Beradat” by the Riau-Surakarta Student Family Association. This dance is about the life of the Malay community, which is used as a means of community entertainment because it contains philosophical meanings and values that are closely related to the social life of the local community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
