Getting the highest possible education is the dream of all the nation’s children. Education is a benchmark for someone in society, especially when looking for a job. Generally, parents expect their children to be able to get decent and well-paid jobs. However, the problem is whether the child likes the job? Most parents think that they have the right to determine the choice of their children. Even though every child has the right to continue his dream, not the dream of his parents. This view needs to be straightened out among the community, especially in cases of work that are not in accordance with the education being taught.

Like brother Calvin, alumni of the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta, Engineering study program. He continued his Masters studies at the University of Indonesia, and opened a business near Muhammadiyah University. The business he runs is “Urban Studio” in the field of photography. If it is related to the education he has taken, then of course it is contradictory. During his education, he studied planning, designing, manufacturing and project implementation. Meanwhile, in photography, he focuses on recording and photographing objects, both humans and products. When asked about the reasons why he made the decision to open the business, he replied that by taking advantage of opportunities, money can be made. He emphasized that he only used items (cameras and portrait equipment) that were not used often anymore.

From the story of Brother Calvin, it can be concluded that education is indeed important. However, for the next stage, namely work, we shouldn’t be too picky. It doesn’t have to be in accordance with the study undertaken and doesn’t have to have a high income. Especially as a young person with his creativity, he should be good at reading opportunities. That way, jobs are easy to get and we like the job so it’s not a burden.
