Welcome To Samdal-ri is a Korean Drama (K-Drama) that is currently popular among young people. Romantic comedy drama starring Shin Hye Sun (Cho Samdal) and Ji Chang Wook (Cho Yong Pil) as the main characters. This drama will air on Netflix and be released in December 2023. Looking from Cho Samdal’s point of view, the drama Welcome to Samdal-ri tells the story of his failure in his career as photographer who is famous for his skill in taking photo and tenacity at work. After his career failed, Cho Samdal decided to return to his hometown reluctantly. Cho Samdal did not expect the fact that he would return to his hometown.
In my opinion, this drama teaches many unexpected lessons. Starting from the failure experienced by Cho Samdal until finally he got back up with better self-confidence, and made those of us who watched realize that no matter how far we go, our hometown and family are the only comfortable place to come home to when we no longer have a place to go destination and a place where people will still accept us without any judgment. The drama Welcome to Samdal-ri also teaches about the true meaning of friendship, where a true friend is a friend who is always there and supports his friend whatever the circumstances. This drama also popularized with the love story between Cho Samdal and Cho Yong Pil, their story makes us aware of loyalty and waiting, the essence of which is that there is no loyalty and waiting that fails if it is with the right person.
Behind the interesting storyline in this drama, the enthusiasm of the actors in this drama also deserves thumbs up. For me, the cinematography in this drama is very beautiful as well as a platform for promoting the natural beauty and culture that exists in Korea. This Korean drama can make us realize that in every failure there is always a lesson to be learned, no matter how bad our situation is, it is the family who will always accept and trust us, a true friend is someone who is always there for us whatever the circumstances and lastly not all relationships are bad. It’s over it’s really over.
