Welcoming Eid: Momentum to Reunite with Family

Ramadan has come to its end. The month of Ramadan is full of togetherness, full of gratitude because we can get closer to God again, and full of joy because we can spend time with the closest people. After a month of fasting, it’s time for us to welcome Eid with happiness and joy.
In my opinion, the momentum to reunite with family is a golden moment that we should use as much as possible. For some people who live far away and separated from their families, this can indeed be called a golden momentum. So what about people who live close to their families? Of course this is still said to be a golden momentum to bring the relationship between families closer. For people who live far from their families, every little moment spent at home becomes the most missed moment. The moment when eating together, enjoying mom’s cooking, talking about anything with family, anything about spending time with family, all of that is a golden moment.
Eid can be one of the ways to recreate that golden momentum. The migrants make this an opportunity to be able to re-achieve the golden momentum, starting from the moment when returning home after spending a long time living away from family. The moment when you feel a sense of togetherness again with your family, spending time together.

There are so many ways to enjoy the golden moment in my opinion, especially in welcoming Eid al-Fitr like this. First, we can spend time making Eid cookies together. In the midst of our busy schedules, making Eid cookies is an opportunity to spend quality time with family without distractions. Secondly, maybe by helping mom to prepare the suhoor and iftar meals. Helping mom cook is an opportunity to create an atmosphere of togetherness and warmth in the family, as well as a place to share stories, laughter, and strengthen the bond between family members. Thirdly, spending free time during fasting by looking for Eid clothes together or just visiting a shopping center with your family is another way to spend time together. Just like the previous two ways, this can also be an opportunity to spend quality time with family. And the last way, the most likely thing to do is to break the fast with your closest family. It doesn’t matter if it’s just breaking the fast at home, or breaking the fast outside, this can be the warmest way to spend time together and enjoy the golden momentum.
Of the many ways above, there may be some people who feel that these methods are still difficult to do because there are many other jobs that still have to be completed even though Eid al-Fitr will come soon. Even so, returning home and reuniting with family is enough to be called a golden moment. Because after all, this small thing will become a big and very valuable thing when it is related to togetherness in the family.
