The annual arts festival of Solo International Performing Arts (SIPA) will once again be held with the tagline “Say All with Arts,” which means to encourage art in life. People start to lose their tolerance and sense of harmony. Since 2009, SIPA has been regularly hosted once a year. Ir. Joko Widodo, then the mayor of Solo, first started this event in 2009. Despite Covid 19’s restrictions, this event was hosted offline the previous year. It will take place offline at Fort Vastenburg this year from August 31 through September 2, 2023.

Before the SIPA main event, a Pre-Event is continuously held to highlight the variety of exciting events that will be held during the SIPA Festival in 2023. For the visitors to the event, a talk show and interactive games are also offered. This year marks the first time that stage name has been used. Each pre-event has a unique name for the stage. Pre-Event 1 was held at Solo Paragon Mall, the main shopping district in Solo. This strategic location was chosen to provide greater accessibility for visitors from across the city.

Pre-Event The second stage name is “Diversity Stage,” which refers to the blending of the various forms of art that are all around us as a means of promoting and exploring these differences in a smooth and coordinated manner, much as various and unified symphony groupings. to compose a symphony using creative performance. Using the stage name “Road to SIPA: Hwaiting SIPA” for Pre-Event 2 this time.

SIPA 2023 will feature a variety of local and international communities and art galleries on its main stage. This year, a bazaar and smaller stage performances from several Solo communities will take place together with the main stage inside Fort Vesternburg, however, the venue has changed. This year, the event can get started at 4 instead of the previous year’s 7 o’clock start time. Access to this event is open to everyone.

“We want to provide entertainment for the Surakarta citizens during the pre-event itself. Because the pre-event also has a Korean theme and seeks to urge young people to be able to work via art, it is hoped that this event will be both an artistic performance that can be observed and an educational experience. Ivan, who was on the organizing committee, believed that the event would be “traditional and modern and can keep up with the times.”

SIPA 2023 is planned to be a celebration of Indonesian art, a forum for intercultural dialogue between performers and spectators, and a popular destination for both domestic and international travelers.
