Surakarta, LPM Campus – The LPDP scholarship is a scholarship program funded by the Indonesian government through the use of the National Education Development Fund (DPPN) managed by the Education Fund Management Agency (LPDP) for financing higher education in master’s programs or doctoral programs at the best universities, both at home and abroad.

Monday, October 7, 2024 Muhammadiyah Surakarta University presented the ultimate talk #2 seminar with the theme “Interactive LPDP Day: Transformative ideas in Action.” The seminar on the LPDP scholarship (Lembaga Pengelola Dana Pendidikan) went smoothly and became a very useful event for the participants, this event was attended by various kinds of students from different faculties and study programs, this event was organized by IKA or what is commonly called the Alumni Family Association of Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. There are many advantages to participating in the ultimate talk event held this time, namely, certificates, snacks, lunch, and other interesting door prizes.

Fatihah is one of the participants who attended the ultimate talk #2 event, a student of Islamic Religious Education (PAI). Through this seminar, participants gained new insights about LPDP, a scholarship program that not only helps in terms of funding, but also shapes scholarship recipients into excellent individuals.

Fatihah stated, “In addition to gaining insight into LPDP, the speakers were outstanding, especially the LPDP alumni who shared their experiences.” This was the main attraction for participants, including Fatihah, to attend the seminar. She was interested because the seminar presented inspiring, successful and experienced speakers in various fields. “One of the reasons I was interested was because the seminar featured speakers who brought transformational ideas,” she added.

The seminar was introduced through a flyer distributed in the batch group, and Fatihah was very grateful to get the information. Despite some travel difficulties, she was finally able to attend at 8am.

The seminar featured six keynote speakers, namely:

1. Ir. Dwi larso, MSIE, Ph.D (Director of LPDP Scholarship, Republic of Indonesia)

2. Dr. Abdurrahman Irsyadi (Director of General & Human Resources of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan)

3. David Wongso S.Psi.MM MBA MMn. (CEO of Davehunt International Australia)

4. Dr. Tutut Handayani, S.Psi, M.Psi. (Expert Council of PP IKA UMS & Founder of Matahati Consulting)

5. Dr. Rizka, S. Ag., M.Ag (Lecturer at Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta)

6. Dr. Hardika Hermawan, S.Pd., M.Sc. (LPDP Awardee & President Director of Desamind)

The speakers shared their experiences and views not only related to the LPDP scholarship, but also their life experiences as successful scholarship recipients. “In this seminar, it was very useful because what was discussed was not only about scholarships, but also the experiences of scholarship recipients,” said Fatihah.

Thus, this LPDP seminar became an important momentum for participants, including Fatihah, to gain new insights and inspiration from speakers who have successfully pursued careers and education through LPDP.
