Steps grow slower, nearing the line,
Between the shadows and the borrowed time.
Leaves fall gently, seasons fade,
Like memories lost in the quiet cascade.

Time whispers gently in the air,
A fleeting reminder we won’t stay there.
The footprints I leave begin to wane,
Carried by winds, lost in the rain.

And when the end finally calls my name,
In the twilight’s dimming flame,
I hope my steps were not in vain,
Leaving a light, even if it’s faint.
