Haedar Nashir was Re-elected as General Chair of the Muhammadiyah for the 2022-2027 Period
Surakarta- The decision of the 48th Muktamar Muhammadiyah has been announced. The end of the highest assembly of the organization is a sign of the start of a new journey for the Muhammadiyah organization in the future.
As quoted on the official website, Muktamar Muhammadiyah is the highest deliberation in Muhammadiyah. The Muktamar is the moment that has been eagerly awaited because this is the moment for changing leadership (regeneration), gathering, and collaboration among the organization’s members. The Muktamar was attended by thousands of regional representatives of Muhammadiyah from all regions in Indonesia as well as representatives from abroad.
This year, there are 2 Muktamar at the same time, namely Muktamar Muhammadiyah and Muktamar Aisyiyah. The 2022 Muhammadiyah Muktamar carries the theme “Memajukan Indonesia Mencerahkan Semesta”. Meanwhile for the 48th Aisyiyah Muktamar is “Perempuan Berkemajuan Mencerahkan Peradaban Bangsa”. The two ceremonial activities were held on November 18-20, 2022 at several locations in the city of Solo, including the Opening at the Manahan Stadium, the Muhammadiyah Tanwir Conference at the Edutorium. KH. Ahmad Dahlan UMS, and the Aisyiyah Tanwir conference at Campus 2 UMS.
Based on the results of the press conference before the official opening of the Muktamar, the Muktamirin held a meeting on November 5-6, 2022 to discuss all the materials that would be ratified at the Muktamar. There were 4 materials discussed including the Muhammadiyah program for the next five years, Muhammadiyah which wants to be the root that maintains the nation’s culture that integrates with religion, progressive Islamic treatises, and nationality. The meeting had been held in advance in order to maintain time efficiency. Meanwhile, November 18 was used as the Tanwir conference to ratify the material that had been discussed on November 5-6 and to ratify 39 leadership candidates who had been selected for more than 2 years. Activities continued on the night of November 19 to elect a candidate for leadership to 13 leadership candidates.
According to the official website, this year’s Muktamar produced a list of members of the Muhammadiyah Central Executive Board for the 2022-2027 period. This election lasted for 3.5 hours, and was declared complete on Saturday (19/11/22). Following are the results of the 48th Muktamar Muhammadiyah:

The 13 elected members then held a meeting to determine the general chairman (Ketum) of Muhammadiyah for the 2022-2027 period. Based on the decision, Haedar Nashir was re-elected as General Chair of the Muhammadiyah Central Executive for the 2022-2027 period, and Abdul Mu’ti was re-elected as General Secretary (Sekum) of the Muhammadiyah Central Leadership for the 2022-2027 period.
Not much different from the process of selecting PP Muhammadiyah, the selection of PP Aisyiyah was also carried out in the same way.
Before it was decided, there was a Plenary Session VIII Muktamar 48 Aisyiyah by appointing seven members of the Aisyiyah Central Leadership. Then, the seven members of the formation team selected six people to complement the members of the Aisyiyah Central Leadership, up to 13 people. Furthermore, from the results of the trial by the Formation Team it was decided to elect six other people as members of the Aisyiyah Central Leadership. Thus, the following members of the Aisyiyah Central Leadership numbered 13 people. The following are the names of 13 members of the Aisyiyah Central Executive:

Reporting from detik Jateng, Sunday (11/20/22), Salmah Orbaniyah was appointed as General Chair of the Aisyiyah Central Leadership for the 2022-2027 period, and Tri Hastuti Nur Rochimah as General Secretary (Sekum) of the Aisyiyah Central Leadership for the 2022-2027 period.
The decision of the 48th Muktamar Muhammadiyah & Aisyiyah became a guide as well as a reference for the leadership and movement of the Muhammadiyah organization in the next five years.
