Approaching The Day of The Match, Soc Media on The Orders of The PSSI Title Socialization of The U-17 World Cup at UMS
The World Cup is a prestigious international football match that is held every year with several teams representing each country, so not many people are excited when they hear that this annual event will be held soon, especially if the event will be held in Indonesia.
(Tuesday, 7th November 2023) UMS held a U-17 World Cup Socialization at the lobby of the Siti Walidah Main Building from 07:00 – 11:30 WIB, which was organized by SOC Media together with PTPN Radio and attended by most of the FKIP UMS students. The organiser of this social event was chosen directly by the PSSI (Indonesian Football Association) to introduce and promote the U-17 World Cup event to various groups.
The World Cup socialisation event at the UMS campus began with a speech by Vice Chancellor 3, Ihwan Susila, M.Si, Ph.D., and continued with a socialisation by SOC Media and PTPN Radio on the hosting of the U-17 World Cup at the Manahan Stadium, Solo City. Before the end of the socialisation, the event was enlivened by a band performance by PTPN Radio and several students of Physical Education who contributed with song performances.
Vani Anindya, the head of this socialisation committee from the SOC Agency, also said that the socialisation of the U-17 World Cup event did not only take place on the campus of Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta, but there were also several starting points for the socialisation.
“Yesterday we had 3 target points for this socialisation, the first one we have in public space, Temuan Kopi, Coffee Shop held on Friday night. Then we had the car-free day on Sunday. Along with the parade of a giant ball from FIFA, from Slamet Riyadi to Ngarsopuro, well, the stop is at Mangkunegaran. There is a special stand there so we can watch the U-17 World Cup later. Then our last day is at UMS on Tuesday (7/11/2023), the target is certainly for students,” she said.
This socialisation aims to introduce more deeply related to the implementation of the U-17 World Cup, which will begin on 10 November, and instill a sense of pride in the Indonesian National Team (Tim Nasional), which has been invited to play in the U-17 World Cup. This socialisation also aims to instil a sense of pride in Indonesia’s selection as host of this year’s World Cup, one of which is in Solo. “We want this (the U-17 World Cup) to be better known, increasingly known by various circles, including students. Said Vani Anindya, representative of SOC Media.
The U-17 World Cup is open to the public and children can attend, but they must be accompanied by an adult. Ticket prices also vary, ranging from Rp.52,500 to Rp.75,000 to watch 2x matches on the same day. The reason why UMS was chosen as one of the venues for the U-17 World Cup Socialisation was to invite students to participate in the enlivenment of this U-17 event, especially since students are considered to have a high level of enthusiasm for the ball.
Vani Anindya as the Chairperson of the Socialization Committee as well as SOC MEDIA representatives hopes that this socialization can increase student interest in enlivening the annual U-17 World Cup event.
“Hopefully with this socialization we can get to know more deeply, especially we must be proud because we can be chosen to host this year. This event is open to the public, anyone can come to watch. Even for ourselves, we are proud that our national team was invited to the U-17 pildun. even though the match is not in Solo. But with us supporting the group that competes in Solo. of course we also support full support for the Indonesian national team too.”
Vani also reminds us that Manahan Stadium has now been sterilized and is being prepared for the upcoming U-17 match, which can accommodate as many as 20,000 visitors.
